Open in 2012 Umami received this name from the inspiration of its Feng Shui owners.

The word Umami stems from “A pleasant savoury taste”. It’s classed as the 5th taste we experience after sweet, salty, bitter and sour.

Umami offers a range of authentic dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam as well as some up to date signature dishes. Many are available as tasting and sharing portions, encouraging you to tempt your taste buds with some unique flavours, whilst our set tasting menus offers our suggestions from our most popular dishes to dine your way around the South China Sea. With regular monthly specials and a Pan Asian dessert menu there is a full array of dishes to have to returning again and again.

Umami extends its flavours into our unique teas to be enjoyed before, after or even between courses, it’s a great way to cleanse the palette for a full dining experience.

With influences of a Feng Shui Master from Singapore, enjoy and pick your spice in a relaxed and stylish setting with light background music ranging from jazz to seasonal music and on occasions LIVE music

If you’d like to hire Umami private groups up to 76 people can also be catered for.
